Biography

Programme Lead for BSc (Hons.) Physiotherapy, MPhysiotherapy (Sport and Exercise Medicine) and BSc (Hons.) Sport Rehabilitation.

12 Years experience of working in the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. The majority of this has been in the sporting field working in professional football, rugby and with elite snow sport athletes.

Entered Academia in 2010 and came to the University of Bradford in 2013. Has contributed to the development of the MPhysiotherapy (Sport & Exercise Medicine) Integrated masters Programme, which commenced in September 2017 and is the first of it's kind in the UK.

Research

Does a more dynamic version of the bathroom scales method of partial weight bearing instruction in lower limb rehabilitation result in more accurate reproducibility? Can partial weight bearing instruction with instrumented crutches in lower limb rehabilitation result in more accurate reproducibility? Critical review of the management of chronic Pain in sport Ongoing Investigation into the Utilisation of Injury Prevention Strategies in Women’s Football. In collaboration with Dr Leanne Rimmer and Dr Allan Munro (University of Salford)
