David is working for Quaker Peace & Social Witness, as Representative for their Uganda programme, which focuses on peacebuilding. He is living in Gulu, a small-ish bush town in the middle of northern Uganda, the area affected by the conflict. He says he is still running, in spite of the heat, and the fact that he can’t venture too far out of the centre of town for fear of running into rebels. Still, he managed to complete the Kampala marathon last November, finishing in just over fou rhours in about 36 Degree Celsius of heat.
