MA International Development Management (part time: 2007-2010)
"I trained as a town and regional planner before embarking on the masters on a part-time basis. As such I attended BCID over three years which I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed. The staff and students created an atmosphere that was both international and cosy at the same time. Away from the university I used to tell people how I was meeting folk from all over the world, having stimulating conversations and savouring many a delicious curry!! I had decided that I wished to give my career a more international flavour and the standard of the course and its reputation has very much helped in that, and I'm now studying for a PhD related to disaster risk reduction at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. I would whole heartedly encourage anyone teetering on a decision over whether to study for a masters at BCID to go for it and enjoy."
