Midwifery Taster Day
Location: Richmond building, University of Bradford
Date and Time:
Wed 21 Mar 2018, 13:00 - 15:00
The making of a midwife. For BSc (Hons) Midwifery, 2019 entry.
Our BSc (Hons) Midwifery Studies programme has an excellent reputation for the quality of the teaching and learning experience it provides, through a creative teaching style that encourages problem solving, guided self-directed study and team working. Your practice opportunities include supporting a small caseload of women (overseen by a midwife). The varied clinical experiences in Bradford and Airedale will enable you to develop an understanding of delivering care which is sensitive and responsive to the needs of all women in a multi-cultural society.
This session will enable students to find out more about our Midwifery Studies degree and the style of teaching used on this programme - Problem Based Learning - which requires students to work in small groups to solve case scenarios.
Students will also have the opportunity to find out about appropriate work experience and voluntary work and to gain hints and tips on making a successful application to Midwifery.
Please note: registration for the event starts at 12:30.
