Overview
The University of Bradford is proud to offer The Baroness Lockwood Memorial Scholarship Trust for the 2025/26 academic year.
Established through a generous £20,000 legacy from the late Baroness Betty Lockwood, this scholarship reflects her lifelong commitment to equality, education, and the advancement of women in STEM. In accordance with her wishes, the scholarship supports female students in engineering and technology—including mature women returning to study and those continuing their professional development.
The award aims to remove barriers, empower women to succeed in STEM disciplines, and honour Baroness Lockwood’s legacy of public service, advocacy, and dedication to the Bradford community.
