The University of Bradford is offering the Professor Rae Earnshaw Scholarship in Internet of Things (IoT) for an outstanding, self-funding candidate paying Home/EU fees, who has registered for our MSc Internet of Things (IoT) programme for September 2018 start.
This programme, delivered by leading academics in their subjects, will deepen your understanding of all the relevant IoT areas, including sensors, communication, data engineering, data/cloud storage, big data analytics, cyber security and visualisation. This unique full-time Master's programme is designed by experts in the field with wealth of R & D experience in IoT to address shortage of professionally qualified IoT specialists.
As an MSc student you will join our high quality postgraduate taught and research team that includes other MSc and PhD students, post-doctoral researchers and academic staff. You will also have opportunities to attend our long-standing research seminars and industry talks organised by the research groups, and benefit from:

- AAA (Advanced Automotive Analytics) Research Institute
- the Cyber Security Interdisciplinary Centre
- the Digital Health Enterprise Zone
- the Computing Enterprise Centre’s industry inspired and research projects in Smart Cities, Internet of Things, Big Data, Open Data, and Visualisation.
We partner with top Smart Cities in Europe in research and knowledge transfer projects, such as the European North Sea Interreg SCORE: Smart Cities + Open data RE-use that will offer you opportunities to develop your dissertation for cutting edge IoT challenges within an international top collaborative environment. The University of Bradford is also offering comprehensive doctoral training programme.
Emeritus Professor Rae Earnshaw is a leading scientist with the University of Bradford who is donating the scholarship to cover the cost of the tuition fee at Home/EU level in the Postgraduate Computer Science specialism area. The University of Bradford continues to be a pioneer in the area of Computer Science within higher education in the UK, offering a wide spread of courses at an undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as undertaking research that creates a positive impact to society and academia.
Eligiblity
The criteria for selection are academic excellence and financial need. Scholarships are awarded to the students who submit the best statements on the application form as judged by the panel. The panel decision is final.
The successful candidate will have at least a 2:1 degree in a relevant topic. They will be a self-funding UK and EU student registered for the MSc Internet of Things (IoT) programme to start in September 2018.

Payment amount & frequency
The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the applicable course (£7,960).
