The University of Bradford is offering a number of scholarships to students coming to study the MSC Cyber Security Course. These will take the form of a fee waiver, and there are 3 full and 1 part fee waivers offered to students.
In order to apply for this award you must demonstrate a clear and credible intention to become a cyber security professional in the UK, and how the bursary materially assists achieve that.
Please note that bursary allocation preference guidance will:
- Take into account the strength of the original application for those accepted onto the course.
- Give additional scoring weighting to women applying for the programme. This is in line with the Scheme focus of helping address underrepresentation of women in the cyber security profession.
Eligiblity
Eligible students will be selected by the University and must meet the following essential criteria:
- Be undertaking the course specified above and not undertaking any other forms of formal education.
- Not previously held employment as a cyber security professional (cyber security was not a significant part of any previous job function – i.e. less than 50% of a previous job role).
- Must meet the nationality and residency requirements in the Masters Loan England eligibility criteria. Universities in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland should use the relevant Masters Loan residency and nationality requirements of their national equivalent.
- Subject to the criminal record checks provision below.
- Has not previously been awarded a bursary under the DCMS Cyber Security Postgraduate Bursaries Scheme.
In addition candidates must:

Payment amount & frequency
We are awarding 3 scholarships which cover full tuition fees for the applicable course (£7,960).
In addition we are offering 1 award which will cover part of the tuition fee (£2,435).

The University of Bradford are participating in The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport’s (DCMS) postgraduate bursaries initiative to help adults retrain for a career in cyber security by taking a National Cyber Security Centre certified masters degree.
This initiative is supported by the National Cyber Security Programme – the Government’s £1.9 billion investment to significantly transform the UK’s cyber security.
