Overview
The North of England Consortium for Arts and Humanities, led by the University of Hull, invites high-quality proposals from applicants for a PhD studentship tenable for three years from 1 October 2019 at the University of Bradford School of Archaeological and Forensic Sciences.
All students will undertake common cohort-based postgraduate training in research impact, public engagement, entrepreneurship and digital humanities, and will have access to facilities and research support at the other Consortium members.
The current round invites submissions from Archaeology, Archaeological and Forensic Sciences, Heritage and related disciplines. Proposals which address the following themes are particularly welcome:
- Identity
- Heritage and Visualisation
- Mobility and Migration
- People and Landscapes
Interdisciplinary research is welcome, linking Archaeology, Archaeological Sciences, Forensics, Heritage and related areas with disciplines represented by NECAH, which include:

Eligibility
Applicants should have a 1st class undergraduate degree or Masters level research qualification in a relevant area (or be completing their Masters programme), and can be held either full-time or part-time. A 2:1 degree may be considered, if combined with relevant experience.
