Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

How They Work

KTP Woman lecturer at University

KTP projects apply the world-leading knowledge and expertise of academics to business-critical projects.  To do this, a graduate (known as an associate) is employed to work in the company for between 6 months and 3 years.  They are supervised by a business manager and supported by an academic from the University.

Professor Raed Abd-Alhameed, Professor of Electromagnetics and Radio-Frequency, Faculty of Engineering and Informatics, University of Bradford

“The close collaboration between the industrial supervisors, the associates and the academic supervisors has been stimulating and enriching for all parties. For my part, it has been interesting and also great fun to concentrate my mind on a most challenging area of radio communications.”
