Simon has an Honours Degree in Chemistry and an MRes in Physics in “Lithium Ion Cells produced by the Extrusion-Lamination of Polymer Gel Electrolytes.”

He was a Research Fellow at The School of Chemistry, University of Leeds, technically leading the development of an all-printed rechargeable Li-ion battery technology using a semi-automated screen printer and playing an active role in producing a product for collaborators.

He is currently a Research Technician at the University of Bradford working on “Smart Manufacturing of Medical Devices for Soft Tissue Fixation to Bone”.
