The Annual Galaxy Community Conference was held in Bloomington, USA from 24-30 June 2016. The conference included presentations, discussions, poster sessions, lightning talks and birds-of-a-feather gatherings and a range of pre-conference activities, including hackathons and training.
The Galaxy is an open source, web-based platform for advanced digital healthcare and biomedical research. The Galaxy is widely used for biological data analysis by research institutions in Europe, USA, Canada and Australia.
The Centre for Skin Sciences was represented by the bioinformatics tandem: Krzysztof Poterlowicz and his student Kasia Murat who gave a talk about the Galaxy workflow for epigenetic profiling of progressing melanoma.
