Biography

I completed my Undergraduate degree at the University of Leeds where I achieved a 2.1 in Medical Science (specialising my second and 3rd year in Neuroscience). In 2009 I decided to continue my interest in neuroscience and neuropsychology by enrolling on the BPS accredited MSc in Psychology at the University of Bradford where I graduated with distinction in 2010. Following this I enrolled as PhD student under the supervision of Dr Valerie Lesk and Dr Nancy Kelly in the Division of Psychology. I completed my PhD in November 2013 and began my position as Lecturer in Psychology in April 2014.

  • Early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and Mild Cognitive Impairment
  • The role of diet in relation to cognitive aging and Alzheimer’s disease

During my PhD I collaborated with Prof Hassan Ugail and Dr Syadiah Nor Wan Shamsuddin in the School of Informatics, Computing and Media at the University of Bradford
