Machine Learning

Module code: COS6026-B

This module builds on previously studied modules, such as Artificial Intelligence in the 2nd year, to further develop student understanding of applied Machine Learning for supervised and unsupervised learning problems. The module aims to develop strong theoretical skills in the processes, metrics and implementation of machine learning concepts to real world datasets that mirror what a graduate may encounter in their career. The curriculum will cover a variety of well known and widely used techniques to extract useful knowledge from data, or to build powerful predictive models that can serve a useful real-world purpose. The module will cover wider contextual issues such as professional standards, legal frameworks, societal impact and ethics of machine learning. Download the PDF for COS6026-B_2025_6.pdf
