The aim of this module is to explore the cultural context of the midwife organisationally, nationally and globally. The module will develop knowledge of sustainability within midwifery both on a global and national level whilst also exploring historical, ethical and feminist perspectives. It will develop an understanding of the influence of underpinning theories and concepts on policy, culture, research and technology, and how this then shapes current and future midwifery care.
