You will develop an understanding of the governmental framework within which social policy is made andadministered. Whilst concentrating on political structures and processes, some reference is made tocontemporary social policy programmes and priorities. To introduce concepts necessary to analysecontemporary society, politics and welfare and to provide a basis for further study.
