To develop a critical evaluative understanding of the role that cancer pharmacology plays in the developmentand evaluation of anti-cancer drugs in both the pre-clinical and clinical settings. Emphasis will be placed onemerging concepts that reflect the changing nature of modern drug development. The student led targetevaluation exercise in the Molecular Basis of Cancer & Cancer Therapy will be extended through the evaluationof therapeutic strategies employed against these targets.
