Introduction to Forensic Archaeology and Forensic Anthropology

This module provides an introduction to related disciplines of Forensic Archaeology (field-based search,excavation and recovery) and forensic anthropology (laboratory-based documentation and evaluation of humanskeletal elements).
It will introduce the interdisciplinary study of forensic archaeology and its application to the search andrecovery of human remains from a range of different depositional environments. It will also introduce the studyof forensic anthropology and its applications. It will provide students with an introduction to the knowledge &practical skills used in the identification of victims of crime, mass disasters, and other types of casualties.
