Module Aims

To provide students with a detailed knowledge of human musculo-skeletal anatomy, with an emphasis on a functional approach to the identification and description of fragmented human remains recovered from archaeological contexts. To provide students with the ability to identify mammalian remains to species level. To provide students with an understanding of the survival of soft tissue remains in archaeological settings.
