To introduce you to knowledge, skills and values that will enable you to exhibit an ethical and holistic understanding of health and illness within and across populations and the role of the NHS in healthcare. To demonstrate an understanding of how people and societies react to and deal with illness and the factors that influence these behaviours. To develop an ability to treat others with respect and sensitivity to encourage effective teamwork, leadership and professionalism, and to appreciate the roles of all members of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
