You will explore how different models of self and identity relate to social organisation and investigate the importance of understanding theoretical perspectives in applied contexts.
Developing selfhood, learning to conform, attribution theories, rules and obligation, morality and obedience, independence, social expectations, aggression/altruism, relationship processes, social scripts, theories of prejudice, social identities, social representations and attitudes. Cultural selves; hybrid selves; the fragmented self; an introduction to giving presentations.
