The aim of the module is to introduce students to quantitative methods using the relevant software packages and to provide an understanding of the concepts used in the field of applied regression techniques. Lectures and practical sessions are used to assist students to understand and apply analytical techniques.
On successful completion of this module you will be able to demonstrate advanced understanding of applications of quantitative methods (including regression analytics) and critically assess their use and limitations.
Introduction to quantitative data analysis; regression analysis including use of bivariate and multivariate regression and diagnostic tests; dummy variables; stationarity; unit root test and cointegration.
