Module Aims       

This module allows the student to acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge to analyse and interpret the evidence for disease and disorder from human skeletal remains and place these in an historical social and epidemiological context.

Introduction to Palaeopathology; Radiography of Human Remains: Non-specific Conditions; Palaeopathology of Teeth and Jaws; Leprosy; Tuberculosis; Treponemal Disease and other specific infections; Joint disease; Trauma; Metabolic, Endocrine and Deficiency Diseases; Circulatory Conditions; Activity-related Skeletal Changes; Congenital and Development Conditions; Neoplastic Disease and Tumour-like Lesions of Bone.
