The willingness to help students in pursuing their goals is a unique characteristic of the University of Bradford

What's been the best aspect of your course?

The modules and lecturers make learning an adventure! Sometimes the classes can expose your weaknesses but at the same time they provide you with the tools to improve your knowledge and skills.

The facilities at Bradford are fantastic, the anatomy and biomedical labs have been extremely useful in developing and improving my practical skills.

The Anatomage Table in the Simulation Suite has given me a real-life representation of the human body, which has helped me apply all the theoretical knowledge that I've gained in my lectures.

Have you completed any placements?

I've done a one-week placement at the Bradford Royal Infirmary. The experience improved my practical knowledge. It has inspired me to consider a Masters in Physician Associate Studies when I graduate.

What student accommodation did you move into when you first arrived in Bradford?

I lived at The Green during my first year, there were good and challenging aspects to the experience. I learnt how to live and share my space with people from different backgrounds and cultures, which has been a great way to learn about different traditions all over the world.

The support and help I received from the staff at The Green was amazing.

Are you involved in any societies or volunteering with the Students' Union?

I volunteer for the Bradford Cancer Research charity and X-PERT Health for diabetes. I’m also the secretary for the FirstLove Bradford Society at the Students' Union

Being involved with FirstLove, in particular, has been an amazing experience. I have become closer to my faith and made amazing friends too. It has also helped me develop my communication and interpersonal skills.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of applying to the University of Bradford?

You should definitely be excited because you're in for a wonderful experience! The teaching is amazing and the openness of the people in Bradford makes it easy to study far away from home.
