Green Flag filming on campus
University of Bradford filmed as part of Green Flag Awards promotional video ahead of awards ceremony to be held at Bradford Live later this year.
Organisers of the Green Flag Awards visited campus on Wednesday April 23 to film Head Gardener Simon Padgett as part of a promotional film ahead of their annual awards ceremony, which will be held in Bradford later this year.
The University won its first Green Flag Award in 2015 and has continued to win awards every year since.
The Green Flag Award scheme recognises and rewards well managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
Simon, pictured above right with Dr Becky Alexis-Martin and Richard Outram at the recent planting of a ginkgo tree, leads a team of five. He said: “We’re really pleased to be involved in the promotional work for the Green Flag Awards. We’re very lucky to have so much green space, it really is a green oasis and we put a lot of work in to make sure it looks its best. A lot of our green spaces, especially places like the Amp, are well used by staff and students.”
