A professor from the University of Bradford has inspired the next generation of scientists at an award ceremony in Bradford.

was invited by her former student, Mohammed Azhar Ishfaq, to present certificates to pupils at his tuition centre, Prosper Academy, on Little Horton lane in Bradford.

Mohammed studied Biomedical Sciences at the University in 2008 before successfully qualifying as a science teacher and last year opened up his own tutoring centre.

Professor Anderson said: “It was a great honour to be asked to present these awards. I love hearing how my former students are getting on and it is great that Mohammed is now helping others to be successful in science. It is so important that we get more young people interested in science and encourage them to reach their potential.”

Professor Anderson presented the 17 pupils with their certificates to mark how well they have done in their recent exams.
