Message from Professor Murna Downs, Dementia Studies, University of Bradford

Published:

After 17 years as Head of Dementia Studies at the University of Bradford I am stepping down from this role in order to pursue my research and scholarship within the team.

I am delighted to be passing the baton to our colleague at a time of great strength and ambition for our work. Our international excellence and impact has been recognised by the coveted Queen’s Anniversary Prize and, in recognition of our stature in the field, we have recently been established as the Centre for Applied Dementia Studies at the University of Bradford.

The Centre will engage in an ambitious and varied portfolio, in collaboration with national and international colleagues, to continue to make a tangible and positive difference to the lives of people living with dementia and their families.
