Published:

Professor Richard Morgan has been appointed as the new Director of the University of Bradford's flagship Institute of Cancer Therapeutics (ICT).

Richard joined us in January 2015 as and was one of the Anniversary Chairs appointed as part of the University’s 50th Anniversary celebrations. He has research interests in cancer, drug discovery and biomarker development and is looking forward to the exciting challenge of being director.

"I am delighted to have been chosen to lead the ICT and build upon the achievements of my predecessor, Prof Laurence Patterson," he said.

"The ICT houses state of the art research facilities and has experts in disciplines ranging from molecular biology to medicinal chemistry. The institute has developed a number of new and innovative drugs that are soon to be used in patients for the first time, and there are a number of other exciting projects at different stages of development. I am greatly looking forward to their completion, as well as the further growth of the ICT and its continued emergence as an internationally renowned centre for cancer research."
