Grant Awarded to Dr Fiona Macaulay

has been awarded a grant of £20,175 by the British Council and the São Paulo state research council to run a two-day workshop in São Paulo on ‘Comparative Approaches to Security Sector Reform, with a special focus on the penal system’. It will bring together early career researchers working on security security reform, 20 from the UK and 20 from São Paulo state. The workshop’s focus is on career development, international collaboration, network building and peer mentoring. The grant is part of the British Council’s Researcher Links programme, which funded only one in eight of the proposals received in relation to Brazil.
