Students bag pack for Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal
19 November 13
The University's students are getting behind the Appeal.
Over 70 students from the University of Bradford will be giving up their time on Friday 22 November to bag pack for Morrisons' customers at the Westgate, Thornbury and Mayo Avenue stores between 10am and 7pm as they continue their drive to raise funds for the Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal.
Team Bradford, the banner under which all sports teams and societies at the University are known, has nominated the Appeal as its RAG (Raise and Give Week) charity for 2014. Students will be taking part in and hosting numerous fundraising activities, such as the Bradford Raven’s cheerleaders running a successful bake sale at the Student’s Union and members of Team Bradford taking part in crocus planting across the University campus.
Victoria Collins, Development Officer at the University of Bradford said; “We’re grateful to Morrisons for supporting the Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal and allowing our students to bag pack for their customers. The support from Team Bradford has been fantastic and I’m delighted that over 70 of the University’s students have committed to giving up their time to raise money for the Appeal.”
David Hewitt, Charities and Communities Manager added; “We are delighted to be able to continue working with the Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal. Our stores involved in the bag pack this week are looking forward to supporting the University of Bradford students, who will be raising funds and awareness in our local stores.”
