29 August 13
September 2014 will see the University of Bradford host the national conference of the Association of University Engineers; delegates from all over the country will be visiting the City Campus.
The theme of the 2014 conference is "Building a Self-Sustaining Future: Making a Difference Together"; which will look at how engineers as a collective can help safeguard business operations at their institution.
A wide range of entertaining and informative speakers, including household names, will give talks during the conference. There will also be a large exhibition with exhibitors from a wide of companies including a number of ‘blue chip’ organisations.
Russell Smith, the University’s Estates Manager, commented “It is huge privilege for the University to host such a prestigious conference; we will have representatives visiting from nearly every University in the United Kingdom.
“It is a real testament to our University’s sustainable building programme to be awarded this conference. I believe it give the delegates a very different opinion of Bradford as City Campus, which is now a wonderful green oasis.”
This year’s conference, hosted by Goldsmiths in London, will feature a closing lecture from Russell Smith as he looks ahead to the 2014 symposium.
The Conference will be held on the 3, 4and 5 of September 2014. More details can be found the conference website: https://www.eventsforce.net/aue2014
