She is involved in a number of Christian - Muslim dialogue initiatives and has been a participant in the 'Building Bridges' series of seminars with Archbishop Rowan Williams for six years. She has also published widely on classical Islamic law and on social and political issues relating to Islam in Europe.
Dr George Sheeran, from the School of Lifelong Education and Development, who helped organise the event, said: "We are really looking forward to this 'In my view' lecture. Mona Siddiqui will be well known to many people, as a frequent contributor to Radio 4's Today Programme."
