University hosts an audience with potential MPs for Bradford

10 February 10

The University of Bradford is hosting an audience with prospective parliamentary candidates (PPC'S) for Bradford on Wednesday 10 February, 2010.

The event, part of the 'Faith and the City' programme, has been organised by the University's School of Lifelong Education and Development in partnership with the Bradford District Faiths Forum.

The event, 'An election special: Who will you be voting for?'  will see three local PPC's talking about the forthcoming elections and taking questions from the audience.  Those taking part are Councillor David Ward from the Liberal Democrat Party (Bradford North), Susan Hinchcliffe from the Labour Party (Shipley) and Zahid Iqbal from the Conservative Party (Bradford West).

Nadira Mirza, Dean of the School of Lifelong Education and Development from the University, said: "We are looking forward to the Faith and the City election special event. It will provide an ideal opportunity for members of the public to put their questions to the candidates as well as to hear what each prospective candidate hopes for the city of Bradford."

The discussion will be held at 6:00pm in the JSB Lecture Theatre, Richmond Building at the University.  Places are free but must be booked. To reserve your place please e-mail or call 01274 395398.
