Imran Khan to open Unique Lifestyle and Fitness at University of Bradford

The University's Chancellor Imran Khan will cut a ribbon to mark the official opening of 'Unique Lifestyle and Fitness' on Thursday 16 July 2009.
Unique Lifestyle and Fitness, the University's health and well being facilities, will be more than just a sports centre. It will be at the heart of providing personalised health and well-being for the University and the wider community. It aims to add to Bradford's urban regeneration through its high-quality facilities, high-quality services and high-value membership, which will be available for residents, local businesses, and University students and staff.
The facilities will strive to improve the health, fitness and well-being of its members by looking at their lifestyle and by offering a range of health and fitness advice, programmes and opportunities. In addition it will offer individual tailored or group sessions, tailor-made stress busting corporate membership programmes, action-packed sports camps, and children's coaching.
Unique Lifestyle and Fitness, located on the edge of the main University campus on Great Horton Road, is one the largest and most up-to-date health and fitness centres in the area. It incorporates a wide range of facilities and has the latest state-of-the-art equipment, which has been fitted out by Life Fitness, one of the country's leading equipment suppliers.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mark Cleary, said: "The University is delighted that our Chancellor, Imran Khan will be opening Unique Lifestyle and Fitness and hope health and well-being will be put at the heart of the University and the wider community."
