A Feast for the Eyes
2 December 09
Gallery II at the University of Bradford has opened a new exhibition of sumptuous arts and crafts, which are available to buy and perfect for Christmas gifts or a festive treat for yourself.
The Gallery II exhibition has opened in partnership with The Yorkshire Craft Centre's exhibition 'Be Dazzled' and features artisan delights such as glass bowls, handbags for nuns, crockery with witty conversations; amongst many other stylish contemporary items.
Set to a backdrop of unusual props, visitors will be treated to a carefully constructed installation where makers work is presented and arranged to reflect their eclectic and bespoke qualities.
'A Feast for the Eyes' and 'Be Dazzled' will be on show to the public until Friday, 18 December 2009. Prices of arts and crafts from as little £12.
Visual Arts Fellow, Caroline Hick, said: "Both venues are showcasing some beautiful arts and crafts and offer an opportunity for people to come and to find unique gifts for the festive season."
Gallery II, University of Bradford is open 11am - 5pm Monday - Friday (Thursdays until 6pm). The Yorkshire Craft Centre at Bradford College opens Monday to Friday, 10.30am until 4pm, except the 18th December when Be Dazzled closes at 12 noon. Both exhibitions are free to enter.
