Relocation

Relocation of the School of Management

Work is now taking place to prepare for the relocation of our School of Management from Emm Lane to City Campus. Completion of the move, ready for teaching in September 2019, will unite the whole the Faculty of Management, Law & Social Sciences on to one central campus.

In addition to bringing together the Faculty, the relocation will have a number of clear benefits for students. It will support the overall learning experience through mixing and sharing learning with the wider TeamBradford student community, both from an academic and social perspective; access to accommodation on campus will be closer; it will provide broader access to student services, including the library, counselling and other services; and it will provide easier access to students' clubs, the Students' Union and its facilities at Student Central.

The relocation will begin with the move of the Management Library to the JB Priestley Library after the May examination period. Staff will move with their Research Centres into the Ashfield and Pemberton Buildings in July. Existing facilities at Emm Lane, such as the Bloomberg Trading Room and dedicated teaching space for MBA/DBA students, will be replicated at City Campus, and new facilities, including a SAS Data Analytical Centre and Innovation Hub, will also be provided within the Bright Building. The plan will be to complete the move by the end of July so the impact on student learning is minimised.

Current student representation is in the form of the President of the Student Union as a member of the Relocation Board. We will keep all students and our stakeholders up-to-date with developments through a regular programme of communications including our regularly updated Frequently Asked Questions.
