Career Booster update

The Faculty of Management and Law organised and sponsored two highly successful employability workshops during the Easter break, on Emotional Agility (CPD accredited) and Project Management (preparation for PMI certification).

Developing graduate attributes

The aim of these workshops, offered as part of the professional development journey for our students, is to develop essential graduate attributes that are needed to succeed in the highly competitive graduate job market. Both workshops were very well received by students with high levels of satisfaction and appreciative feedback. These workshops consider the needs of employers, and prepare students for the world of work.

Positive feedback

Participants said the following about the emotional agility workshop:

  • “This was everything I would expect from the course. The practical activities we did will be essential for improving our future career prospects.”
  • “It was such a great session. The role-playing in authentic scenarios really makes a difference.”

Participants said the following about the project management workshop:

  • “A well-delivered programme. It was worth every minute of time spent. The questions I had about PMI before coming to the programme were answered during the course.”
  • “The course was adequately and competently delivered, and very relevant to my future prospects.”
  • “A very well explained workshop. It gives me the depth of understanding about PMI.”

High demand

The two workshops will be repeated in June after the exam period, due to high demand from students. Additional workshops on sustainability and digital marketing will also run.
