Roger Wynne studied at Nottingham Polytechnic, now Trent University and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Colourist. He is a Member of the Institute of Quality Assurance. After a number of years working in Research and Development and line management, he gained an MSc in Industrial Management from Loughborough University of Technology, latterly, Loughborough University. Line management experience was gained in both medium and small companies, applying Operations Management tools and techniques to significant effect. Quality and the management of inventory have played a prominent part in his responsibilities.
From 1985 to 1991, Roger worked with Professor John Oakland in the European Centre for Total Quality Management at the University of Bradford, School of Management, helping two engineering companies adopt JIT and TQM philosophies, also developing distance learning material in TQM. Under the COMETT II (European) initiative he worked with the European Foundation for Quality Management to set up a network of Centres of Excellence in TQM. He has recently retired from the post of Senior Lecturer in Operations Management and Director of the Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) programme at Bradford College. Having been an Honorary Visiting Fellow in TQM at the School of Management, Bradford University from 1991 to 1994, Roger was appointed as an Associate Fellow of the Operations Management Group at Warwick Business School in 2006. He was an external examiner for the University of Wales at Doncaster Business School from 2006 - 2010. In addition, Roger is an associate of the University of Bradford and a member of the Board of the School of Management. Currently Roger is an external examiner for the University of Wales at the London School of Business and Finance and the Robert Kennedy College, Zurich.
