Susan is a lecturer in Accounting.
Following a degree in French, Spanish and Portuguese at Nottingham University Susan then trained as a Chartered Accountant with PWC, Nottingham.
She was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at De Montfort University Business School, Leicester in 1990 before moving to University of Bradford School of Management in 1998.
She has taught financial management, international finance , taxation and personal finance, financial accounting to both Undergraduates & Postgraduates. She was Director of Studies for the Accounting and Finance degree for 3 years and also sat on the School Board.
In addition to teaching Susan has raised three children and spent one year in Taipei, Taiwan where she attended International Postgraduate Recruitment fairs in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Shanghai on behalf of the School of Management.
Most recently she has spent almost three years in New Zealand. Susan worked as a Senior Tutor in Accounting at Auckland University Business School and was in sole charge of the Part Time MBA Financial Reporting and Control module.
She also worked for Auckland based accountancy firms RSM Prince and then BDO Spicers as a Senior in the Business Advisory Services department, essentially preparing statutory and management accounts and tax returns for small and medium size businesses.
