North Atlantic Research Unit
The North Atlantic Research Unit (NARU) is based in Archaeological and Environmental Sciences at the University of Bradford.
NARU formalises the research in the North Atlantic region carried out at the University of Bradford since the early 1980s. Currently the team are working on the publication of the Old Scatness/Jarlshof Environs Project, and excavating on Rousay as part of the 'Orkney Gateway to the Atlantic' project.
Archaeological Futures: A Research Agenda for the North Atlantic
The 2008 North Atlantic Biocultural Organisation (NABO) conference was held in Bradford in 2008. The conference examined the current position of North Atlantic research (in all research areas including the NABO interest groups) and based on these discussions aims to formulate a new International Research Agenda for Future Archaeological Research in the North Atlantic.
