Covid-19 changes to service

Please note: all reciprocal access arrangements have been suspended due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

SCONUL Access Scheme

SCONUL Access is a reciprocal scheme which allows most University of Bradford students and academic staff to borrow or use books at other participating libraries. The scheme covers most university libraries in the UK and Ireland.

Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic the SCONUL Access Scheme has had to be suspended. SCONUL are not processing new or renewal applications. This is because participating libraries are unable to accept external visitors due to severely restricted capacity, the need for social distancing and the requirement to abide by relevant government guidelines.

We do not know when the scheme will restart. Currently it looks unlikely that it will be back up and running again before the end of this academic year (2020/2021).
