Turnitin service status

Service description

Turnitin®UK is a plagiarism detection service which is integrated into the VLE. This means it can also be used as an assignment submission service.

Features

Turnitin®UK can support learning and teaching by:

  • Checking text based assignments for similarities with online internet resources (websites; electronic journals; etc.) and the work of other students of the university and between educational institutions around the world.
  • Educating students in good academic practice by highlighting the accepted methods of using and building on the work of others.

Service owner

Centre for Educational Development.

Users

Available to all University of Bradford staff and students.

Service hours

24 hours throughout the year with the following exceptions:

  • Planned maintenance that is notified to users in advance.

Support and documentation

Support is provided by the learning technology team in the Centre for Educational Development, as well as TurnitinUK (the suppliers).

This service is provided free of charge.
