Taking part in Caregiving HOPE

Individuals who are supporting a person living with dementia

We would like carers to complete a short questionnaire about their experiences three times over 12 months. Further information can be found here - Caregiving HOPE Questionnaire Information Sheet

To be included in the study you must be:

  • A family member (or significant other) of the person with dementia
  • Aged over 18 years
  • Contributing towards providing the support required by the person with dementia
  • Caring for someone with dementia who has a diagnosis of dementia (any type)

If you fit the above criteria, and are interested in helping us, please email Sahdia Parveen (s.parveen27@bradford.ac.uk) or Gary Fry (g.fry@bradford.ac.uk)

We are also looking for individuals to interview in more detail about their experiences. Family carers will be interviewed about their motivations for supporting a person with dementia, their willingness to care and preparedness, three times over 12 months. We will also provide carers with a disposable camera to take photos of situations/objects that help them feel prepared and cope better with their care role. These photos will be discussed in the interviews. Carers will receive £20 for each interview. If you are interested in being interviewed, please get in touch and we will send you more information.
