Mandatory E-Learning Training for Staff

Health & Safety Module

Launched in January 2016, all employees are required to complete the Health and Safety e-learning module and to undertake a refresher every 3 years.  (New members of staff should receive an email with a link + login instructions for this module within the first 2 weeks of commencing employment at the University)

Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, employers have a general duty of care to protect employees' health, safety and welfare and this module forms part of the commitment to making the University both a great and a safe place to work.

Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Module & Assessment

Under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, any employee who uses a device or equipment that has an alphanumeric or graphic display screen, regardless of the display process involved, must complete this training (this includes both conventional display screens and those used in emerging technologies such as laptops, touch-screens and other similar devices).

If you are an existing employee and you have not yet received an invitation to complete the training or you are a new employee, please contact Joanne Christie in the Central Health, Safety and Wellbeing team to register for the training.
