What happens on the day?

Where can I park?
There will be limited parking available on City Campus on graduation ceremony days, this provided on a first come, first served basis.

Where can I eat on the day?
Refreshments are available for purchase in the Atrium on ceremony days.
Food and drink are not allowed in the Great Hall, Small Hall or in the waiting area.
Individual departments may also hold drinks receptions on the day of the ceremony.

Can children come along to the ceremony?
Children are welcome at the ceremonies; however they can prove to be too long for younger children who may become restless. Children over two years old must have their own seat in the Great Hall and therefore must be included in your guest numbers.
The ceremonies are broadcast on a large screen at a separate venue on campus and guests with very young children may prefer to watch the ceremony on the large screen. Tickets for the screening are free of charge and are only available on the day of the ceremony from the Registration Desk in the Small Hall. Tickets are limited to four tickets per graduand and are issued strictly first come first served.
For the comfort of other guests, parents may be asked to take any child that becomes agitated or distressed out of the Great Hall to the foyer area.
Is there access for disabled students and guests?

Can I sit with my friends / guests?
Student seating will be at the front of the auditorium - students will have their name on their seats and will be sat with the rest of their cohort.
Guest seating will be at the back of the auditorium or in the balcony.
What time is my ceremony taking place and how long does it last?
Please refer to the Schedule of Ceremonies for your ceremony date and time.
The duration of each graduation ceremony is approximately 1½ hours long.
Where will my graduation ceremony take place?
At the University of Bradford City Campus, in the Great Hall of the Richmond Building, D Floor.
What time will gowning and photography close?
Gowns should be returned after the ceremony to the Norcroft Centre no later than 19:00pm on Tuesday 17 July 2018, 16:30 on Wednesday 18 July 2018, or 19:00 on Thursday 19 July 2018.
The photography studios in the Sports Hall will be open 08:00-19:00 on Tuesday 17, 08:00-16:30 on Wednesday 18, and 08:00-19:00 on Thursday 19 July 2018.

Graduation DVDs are available for ceremonies dating back to July 2007.

There will also be a number of stalls selling memorabilia on graduation days, these will be available in the Atrium of the Richmond Building.
