Congratulations Class of 2021

Congratulations on achieving your award!

This year has been incredibly challenging, particularly for students, but you have shown great dedication and resilience, and we are so proud of you and what you have achieved.

Graduation is an opportunity to celebrate your achievements. Although we were unable to do this in person, we organised a virtual event to celebrate online with the rest of the Summer Class of 2021.

As part of our celebrations, a number of Bradford’s most iconic buildings were lit gold after sunset on August 19 to mark your outstanding achievements.

Below you will find information on the University’s newest Honorary Graduates, meet some of our 2021 Graduates and find out how you can officially join our alumni community, as well as some special messages from your lecturers and other University staff.

When it is safe to do so, we will invite you to an on-campus graduation ceremony, but for now, congratulations once again.

Our newest Honorary Graduates

During the virtual celebrations the University has also awarded honorary degrees to people who have made a major contribution to society.

Those receiving honorary degrees are Allan O Jagger OBE, former President of Rotary International Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI) and key supporter of Rotary International’s work on peace. Also receiving an award is Professor Jane Cummings CBE RN, a registered nurse specialising in emergency care who has held a wide variety of clinical and managerial roles including executive director at NHS England.

Meet our 2021 Graduates

Since becoming an institution of Higher Education, we have brought students from over 175 nations together in one place of learning excellence.

Although we are unable to have Graduation Ceremonies for our Graduates this summer, we still want to celebrate each of your successes and achievements. We are proud of you all and hope you will reach and surpass your dreams.

We followed up with some of our Summer 2021 Graduates and here we share some of their stories and experiences.
