I have worked at the university for the past 10 years and currently hold the post of Building maintenance officer within the Estates Department . During my 29 years as a building professional I have gained a wealth of experience within the construction industry, and have been a member of the Chartered Institute of Building for several years. I also currently sit on the University’s Senate.
I am also an active member of the Association of University Building Maintenance Officers, hosting the annual conference here in Bradford in 2014.
I studied at Leeds Metropolitan University where I gained a degree in construction management.
I actively take part in a range of charity fundraising events throughout the year and support the British dyslexia foundation with my daughter.
I have been on the governing body at Foxhill primary school for the last 7 years and for the last 5 years held the position of chair of governors, taking an active role in the running of the school alongside the senior leadership team.
