Amy Charlesworth (Previous Curator of Art)

Amy curated the series of exhibitions and events in Gallery II from September 2013 to May 2015. 

Amy Charlesworth joined the Arts on Campus team in the latter part of June 2013 in the new role of Curator of the Arts at the University.  Amy has a background in fine art practice, obtaining her first degree from Glasgow School of Art, received her Masters in History of Art in 2008 and her PhD in History of Art in 2013 (both from the University of Leeds). Amy also writes for a variety of academic and journalistic art, history and culture publications and has taught History of Art at The University of Leeds and within the School of Arts at Loughborough University. 

She has worked at a variety of institutions such as the Henry Moore Institute, the University of Leeds, the Arts Council Collection and the Association of Art Historians. Amy has contributed to the contemporary arts infrastructure of Yorkshire and further afield in her role as freelance curator and programmer of a range of funded exhibitions and programmes.
