Tuition Loan

Undergraduate home students can apply for a Tuition Fee Loan to cover the cost of their course.

The loan is paid directly to the University of Bradford. You will have to pay the loan back.

Eligibility

Eligibility for funding depends on several factors, including the following:

  • Your place of study is a recognised degree provider
  • Your course is an officially recognised award
  • You are a UK or Irish citizen

If you have already have a degree, and have received a tuition fee loan, you may not be eligible for further funding.

How much can I get?

The maximum loan available for the 2023-24 academic year is up to £9,250 for full-time students.

Loan repayment

Students who start their course from the 20-23 academic year will start making repayments when they earn more than £27,295 a year before tax.

Repayments for students who started a new course from September 2023

You will repay 9% of anything you earn above £25,000. If you were earning exactly £26,000 you would pay £90 per year in monthly payments of £7.50. These Student Finance repayments will begin the April after you finish your course.
