Policy and Process for Web Based Materials
The University of Bradford’s online presence is overseen by the Web Team in Marketing and Communications, managed by the Senior Web and Content Manager. The Team is supported by a number of colleagues across the institution who are responsible for their own individual areas of the website through a localised process of 'content contribution' and 'moderation'.
Training and support
Anyone wishing to contribute content to the University’s online presence must undergo Site Manager training either at Contributor or Moderator level. Writing for the Web training is also mandatory.
Support materials are available online and via our web site and the Web Team are always on hand to help colleagues on a day to day basis, or you can email email@example.com. Please include brief details of the assistance you need.
Content for each area must be checked and signed off by a Moderator before it goes live. Individual areas may also request additional workflows through the Web Team.
Governance and audit
The Web Team have invested in a suite of online tools (called SiteImprove) to audit and report on the University’s web presence against a number of metrics:

Reports will be regularly circulated to departments and the Web Team will work with areas across the University to ensure that our web presence is as accurate, accessible and current as possible.

All colleagues must also adhere to the University’s other policies including the University Regulation on Use of Computer Facilities and the Campus Network (Regulation 21) and the University Policy and Code of Practice on Electronic Communication.
