About this in-person event

This event draws on interlocking facets of Bradford's identity as a city of diversity and creative culture. Our event situates the creative significance of the car in modern urban spaces whilst also facilitating conversations about race, faith and social class.

The event comprises 4 parts:

3pm: a live modified car meet, hosted by Bradford Modified Club

4pm: a short talk, by Yunis Alam, which explores the car and car related culture within the context of real world sociology

4:15pm: the film launch of the highly acclaimed Bradford based play, Peaceophobia, co-produced by Commonwealth Theatre and Fuel, which responds to rising Islamophobia around the world through the prism of modified car culture

5:15pm: a question and answer session with members of the cast and the production team
